Cynthia graduated in Winter of 2020 with her Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno. While studying at UNR she took the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Reggio Emilia, Italy. During this time she was able to learn about their different learning approaches such as Montessori and the Reggio Emilia Approach. She started working at The Continuum in December of 2021. Previously, she worked in a preschool setting as an assistant teacher and then a lead teacher for children 8 – 18 month olds. She was able to work with preschool aged children for 2.5 years but wanted to expand and work directly with families and caregivers. She was especially interested in working with a diverse population and assisting with Spanish speaking families in becoming advocates for their children to aid in their child’s development.
Cynthia’s favorite thing about The Continuum: The environment and the people that work here!
